Born in Torrance, California, John moved to Australia at the age of eleven. At the age of 16 he began to learn guitar and was rewarded with his grandfathers 1930s dobro.
By the middle of his first year at Perth’s Curtain University he released a cassette tape of his music. Studying to be an art teacher, he dropped out after the first year to pursue a career in music.
If it has strings, this guy can play it. A blend of acoustic and electric roots/jam these guys can really put on a show.
Tonight I start with all but 3 songs from their concert at Federation Square, Melbourne April 5th 2007 and finish with a number of other finds.
